Exploring & Observing

While exploring potential topics of interest, I was able to skillfully research for an article that was both credible and was of equal interest to me. Being able to annotate and gather a deeper understanding behind an article is expanding my knowledge of pediatrics every single day. A few challenges I faced such as having to search up a few medical terms that kept being brought up in the article made me wonder more about them. I ended up researching more into those terms such as elective and emergency surgeries which led me to grasp the meaning of the article much more thoroughly. Something which I felt that I could possibly work on or do better would be exploring further into the different units such as neurology, urology, etc in pediatrics and how they got directly impacted by the pandemic. By knowing more information about this, I would be able to make connections between one field to the other since they are all different but same in different ways. There’s so much more to pediatrics than just the current pandemic and how it is affecting hospitals around the world. I wonder how things were exactly run in the past and that is something I’d be engrossed in.
