Final product decisions

This past week I had my second mentor visit with Dr. Yomna Farooqi which went super well because I was able to finalize my final product with the help of my mentor. I narrowed down the few options I had and made a decision based on my mentor’s wisdom plus the research I had conducted on these options. In the end, I decided to focus my final product on another topic; special needs kids. My passion for Pediatrics actually rooted in helping and working with special needs kids throughout my middle school as well as my high school so I found myself being very inclined towards wanting to read up on this for my final product for ISM. To be more specific, I will still be kind of having a step up from my original work as I will be focusing on preventative care of kids with Down Syndrome. I decided to do Down Syndrome since this is one of the most prevalent conditions I have worked with throughout my experiences and situations. For my original work, as I did preventable conditions that do not get caught, I thought it would be nice to piece it together and do preventive care for Down Syndrome kids.
