Mentor selection...

This past week I have been focusing on mainly getting my mentor things completed. Unfortunately, I was not able to get an in-person mentorship due to the many Covid restrictions at the hospital. Furthermore, I’m hopeful that the future professionals that I reached out to will be able to get back to me with good news. I reached out to the first doctor I interviewed, Dr. Yomna Farooqi and I hope we can make something work even if it may be virtual. I also started to plan out my final product proposal so that I can email this out to my future mentor. For my final product proposal, my thought process kind of worked backwards because this still relates to my original work. Additionally, my final product will root from my original work but go into more detail, hopefully a subspecialty that my mentor has a better understanding of. I also worked on making a calendar for my final product so that I can have a routine down. As time progresses, I would start narrowing my research further down so that it focuses solely on my topic of research. Lastly, I’m excited to hear back from the doctor and I look forward to this next part of my ISM journey!
