Milestone

This past week in ISM has been, let’s call it, a milestone. I say this because I have had a mentor as well as completed my original work in the duration of this week. I am so excited to get mentored by Dr. Kristina Ciaglia and being given the opportunity to shadow her at Scottish Rite Hospital. I have also finished the last portion of my original work, the set up and completion summary which really allowed me to see what my vision was for my original work but what I ended up doing instead. I didn’t alter my original work that much, however, I did change some crucial aspects of my work. I have learned a lot through the process of completing my original work and picked up on many new skills which I will use for the long run. In addition to finding my mentor and having my original work complete, I have also worked on polishing my digital portfolio by updating all my assessments and blogs from recent times. Not only that, I was excited to want to learn more about Rheumatology as that is the expertise my mentor works in. I researched a little bit in depth about Pediatric Rheumatology to gain a sense of what I will be seeing in the next few months.
