This past week, I was mainly spending my time preparing for the research speech. I had the opportunity to talk to my classmates and teacher about how my research is guiding me through and what my topic is all about. For this reason, I spent a good chunk of time starting off with my introduction for the speech. The rest of the speech was easier for me as it is my own work and research that I have been working on for months so I was able to clearly talk about it. Some skills I definitely picked up from this past week was being more comfortable and confident in talking in front of people. While preparing my presentation for this speech, I had begun thinking ahead of time about how I want to divert the attention of the audience more towards Pediatrics than my introduction that talked about robots. Although I connected the technology aspect from the intro to the conclusion, all my interviews have been conducted with professionals that are from various different subspecialties within Pediatrics. As I have mentioned before, for me to understand the advancements of technology within medicine, I need to first understand the overall scope of Pediatrics.
