Special needs education

This past week, I was focusing more on my final product and tried to get my main research done for my product. I looked more in detail at the documents that Dr. Farooqi forwarded to me at our second mentor visit which will greatly help me with my end product. Adding on, I was more interested in knowing more about the topic of Downs Syndrome and the preventative care that needs to be taken for it. I was super grateful for the research articles that she sent to me because they opened my eyes up to a lot more content on the topic of Down Syndrome. I did have prior experience working with Down Syndrome kids in middle school so I was super excited to learn more about the condition when I got presented with the opportunity to do so. Additionally, I looked into some other fields inside of special education and found a few others I was highly interested in as well as was familiar with, one of them being Autism. I found this one eye-catching especially because it is also a condition with which I am highly familiar with and I know a lot about the cause of the experiences I have had.
